Hi, i played Lineage 2 and Guild wars 2. I love and want to come back into MMOs. Stepped away from mmo gaming for some years. I'm really want to know everything about Ashes of Creation 
One question, I was searching and I did not find...
The progression will be more like guild wars 2 style with many things to do as discover locations and many events that everyone can join etc ... or more like wow style, complete quests and the true game only exists in the end game?

As for your question ashes will be a lot like how you described guild wars where events happen all the time, and they are influenced by the players e.e nodes.
