  • Lately there has been a ton of talk about x/tank and other class combinations such as x/dps and x/healer. With the best gear, augment choices, and setup will you be designing secondary class augmentations with the goal of letting the archetype take on a main tank, main dps, or main healer role in any content?

  • Will x/tank be able to play the tank role just as good as tank/x?
  • You've mentioned 20% of the content will be instanced mainly for the story, but are there any plans for 40 man instanced content with a giant raid, in depth bosses and trash mobs with challenging mechanics?

    How are group mounts different from "regular" mounts in regards to unlocking or obtaining?
  • Will this game be alt friendly, e.g. when I make progress on some system on main character, won't I have to do it again on alt?

  • We have heard alot about optimising game performance client side and have seen the progress, but can you tell us how you plan to fulfil the goal of keeping the server side stable for large scale battles given that preventing lag and maintaining stability will be a necessary pillar.     Hello AoC Team! Keep on going, you are doing a wonderful job and i can't wait to start exploring the world of Verra!

    Q: Regarding Gear, what will the system be? Imagine that you drop/craft an item, will it be with random stats that you can't upgrade anymore OR the same item comes at level 1/2 making you keep upgrading it up to level 9/10 for exemple with random chance to break or something.
  • Will other classes besides Tank and Cleric be able to fill the main tank/healing roles of a party? If not what does this mean when forming party's of 8, will there be a lack of tanks and healers to pull from?
  • If I hire several drivers and a large escort for a multiple caravan group, then will my personal Metropolis node storage be able to hold that volume of goods?

    So here's an important question that has been digging into my mind as of late. With the planned future of another alpha, which I am excited to take part in again, and multiple betas in the future... What worries do you have that by the time we reach release date, a large portion of the player base could be quickly lost due to feeling like they've already played the game to completion and aren't looking to do it again?

    Some games as of late, notably some FPS games have been released for multiple beta tests before release, either allowing people to draw early conclusions and not get the game, or not purchase it due to believing they've already experience all it has to offer. Do you have plans to hold back certain forms of content even including things such as Architypes or Classes to ensure that we'll all have a reinvigorated spirit by the time launch comes around? I appreciate any time spent to read or review my concerns!

  • According to the answer I got last month, monster coins can’t let you target buildings used by a specific person. Could you however target a specific type of building used by alchemists, for example, in any node that has that building? If I am an alchemist, for example, could disabling that building lead to economic changes I could plan for and take advantage of?
  • Will you guys add World Quest / invasion / treasure hunt,etc feature's with different modes easy/hard/hell,etc? there is a post I did too on this forums talking about WQ and invasion overall.
  • Last month's stream we saw a little bit of basic ledge climbing. Keeping in mind of course that nothing in the plans for this game is set in stone until its actually completed, is an expanded climbing parkour-type system similar to what we saw in the Art of War trailer something the Intrepid team is looking to do, and will it be class specific or generally universal, with exception to some class-specific utilities like the Rogue has been hinted to have?

    In order to prevent "false flagging" a node siege, the siege scroll initiator has been previously stated to be unable to determine who gets registered for the offensive siege. How are offensive siege participants determined? At random from everyone who has signed up?

  • Will there be hidden stats that will be generated for the player who meets certain hidden requirements, (i.e. a player obtaining a courage stat from playing a specific race and class together and the generated courage stat decreases the effectiveness of CC effects? Or even a leadership skill from playing as a summoner and comes a generated leadership skill and having a better leadership skill your summons can follow your commands better?)
  • In an open world, or instanced dungeon, can the leader change the composition of your party, or raid at any time?
  • Will mounts eventually have "weighty movements" to them like in Guild Wars 2 with acceleration, braking distance, realistic turning speed etc or will they have the typical mount movement like in WoW where they stop and turn around instantly?

    I'd personally prefer more realistic and weighty movements since it would make using mounts more enjoyable instead of it just being a faster means of transportation.

    What is your design for a two handed sword warrior (axe etc etc) and how will it be different than the dual wielding warrior?

    Most mmos fail to balance those two melee playstyles and give them both distinct features.



  • A question about secondary archtype augments and how much they can bend a primary archetype.

    Will any combinations of X/Tank be able to fill the role of tank if properly geared out, spec'ed, and built to do so, or will primary archetype Tank/X's be the only ones capable of tanking content?

    Why did you choose the GODS and GODDESSES you did? And why did you go with them over more traditional style gods that we would see in PATHFINDER & Dungeons & Dragons? you know, Goddess of Adventures, Goddess of Magic, Goddess of Luck, Mother Nature, God of War, God of Crafters/Atrisains, God of Merchants
  • Once a node goes into lockout after a siege, can the quest to obtain a siege scroll still be completed or is it locked out for the time period too?

    In light of the news of Michael Bacon, the former Lead Environment Artist leaving the company, is the game shifting focus in its environmental art direction?

    I don't see how it is a good time to lose a Lead Environment Artist at a stage where you should be making as much of the game's world as possible leading up to Alpha 2. You only have ~80km2 in Alpha 1, Alpha 2 is supposed to have ~200km2. In the livestreams, we rarely see new environment, only concept arts and small parts of the environmental concept arts being worked on in 3D. The last time I saw any new environment showcased by Bacon was around 2019, the desert area which I don't think we've seen that in Apocalypse nor Alpha 1.

    Steven mentioned in an earlier interview that he'd like to get the character creator out early so players can spend time customizing their character before launch, will the same thing or something similar be applied to classes since there are so many of them?

    Can you make animals ''unfertile'' with animal husbandry? Lets say i have a cool looking/rare mount and want to sell some of the offspring of that mount, but don't want anyone else to be able to breed them.

    When have you ever pre-played classes without being a tester...?

    Hello all, continu the great work.

    I got a question regarding the world of Ashes, we know necromancy and lichdom is a thing in the world and we know that death and resurection is a thing with the pheonix goddess. Does this means there is a god/goddess of death in the universe too?
