Boat/Ship Name Inscriptions Would be a Nice Touch

Instead of using a small text nameplate floating in air above our boats similar to what other games use, it could be a nice touch to utilize the character creator text shown with some of the tattoo's and script to be able to design and apply boat names directly onto our ships. Here are some examples

    Would be even better if we get to customize our ships with a full blown GT7 or GT-Sports style livery-editor.

    ... But that's probably an overkill for Ashes.

    I love the idea of naming boats but i think the issue we will come back to is Intrepid needing staff to make sure no troll names make it on. There's been a bunch of good ideas like this on the forums so far that I think fall into this category. Hopefully they can find a solution cuz the small details like this are what bring the world to life

    I'm all for players naming ships. Same filters and rules as character names, with really inappropriate names resulting in actions on the account and loss of the ship.

    I really feel like word lists and text auto complete functions solve a lot of problems relative to players naming in game things (while also having a additional systems uses for other parts of the game such as later translations and quick text chat). If you already have the apparatus for 'approved words' then you don't really have to worry too much about them naming something 'bad', just something 'dumb'. And quite frankly, humans irl SUCK at naming things and originality. New Wales? New York? Springfield? Yellow River? Like really, humanity? Even the infamous Boaty McBoatface is just a modern take on humanities skill at naming stuff.
