Will there be any towns on the coast, and if there is, will enemies be allowed to siege from the sea?

    Yes, some nodes can form on the coasts of their area's which can be used for shipping and transport routes across the water ways. IIRC, there are multiple spots in the area where a civilisation can develop based on player participation so as long as the players focused around the shore line position for the civilisation, then one has a good chance of evolving for the node. With multiple spots for civilisations, only one may occur at a time within the nodes allowance.

    I'm not entirely sure if you'll be able to siege the node from sea during the conflict but there is plans for naval warfare. The naval sieges could be really interesting and special to coastal civilisations.

    Yes, there will be coastal towns, and "It may be possible to it by sea" (source).
