I focus on many things at once when taking part in an Alpha and or Beta as I see it as a test phase not a full release.
This has been going for some time now and I am ready for a reset.
I focus on leveling each class and testing them on their way up while testing the various zones but I don't expect to spend hours sitting in one spot killing the same thing repeatedly reading chat of a bunch of control freaks telling others what they need to do and not do.
We are not at that phase, we are dealing with an Alpha or so I thought by the listing.
I put a great deal of time into this playthrough test phase and submitted a ton of bug reports about various things I have found but you get burned out doing things like this not only for free but also at a cost out of your own pocket.
The many bugs reported I have yet to see any of them fixed and some as simple as a clipping issue in their spawn areas keeping them stuck.
I have watched streamers complain about not getting the ban list of players as soon as they like and the fact they are even asking for one in an Alpha is crazy to say the least. I understand bots and hacks should be banned but why would we need a list of them? Thats just a bunch of useless information that we can do nothing with and an absolute waste of time and resources for the development team.
People that are exploiting, duping, glitching should not ever in any case be banned durring an Alpha or a Beta phase as nobody would have ever known and or reported the issue if not for the one doing it and or the person whom reported it.
I am going to take a break for a few days before I burn myself out 100% of the lack of progression getting done with the server.
I know the light bug is gone thus far and I am thankful of that but it was infact the least of the servers worries.
Node crashes from programs being used to mass spawn creatures in certain areas for bot farmers is one of the many issues that needs to be addressed. When a node crashes you are kicked out and or teleported to a spawn somewhere multiple times until it is reset.
Limitations on starting sections is another as at launch it is congested badly and you won't fulfill your quests as quickly as you should be able to.
Solo friendly is another issue as it is currently everyone who started on day one was trying to fast track to 25 and most only focused on getting there to farm bosses or grief others with no real testing being done on their part.
The limitation on your archetypes per server limits testing as well. I have had to do the first few on one server then the rest on another server starting all over after having to either create my own guild while inviting 1 friend to add my other toons just to trade gear between them so not to have to farm gold and rebuy more sets just to test the class system.
I have made all bug reports with suggestions and now I will wait to see some of them worked on before going further.
The game has great potential but my advise would be stop paying as much attention to influencers requests and more to the ones reporting the actual issues or the games release is going to be as janky as The Quinfalls skill rework was that just release.
