I use both, if I was a more thorough and well thought out conversation, I’ll come here. If I want to be social and be voice chatting about the news, discord naturally.

But let’s be honest, anything is better than reddit, right?

I like the idea of forums but Discord is where it’s at for me.

I haven't used forums in a while, so Discord feels more natural for me. For news posts and announcements, it should be posted both on the forums and on Discord.

For casual talk, there is the Discord, for more serious threads, there are the forums.

We can have both, they don't need to do the same thing.

Forum for game updates, where we need more detail that we can digest in or own time.
Discord for game (live) updates where we need a fast update on current status.

IMHO Discord is easier to obtain updates due to the fact discord is a separate program running on my PC that when infact an update does roll around, it would be easier to notice a discord ping then a Forums Post.

I enjoy the forums more because I honestly don't have all day to sit in discord and be witness to everyone's ADHD.

The forums offer me a way to still be involved in dialogue and have a life outside. I can read it at my own leisure and not have to sift through 40 messages from edgelords seeking attention just to understand what's being discussed.

That being said, I'm more apt to notice a news update on discord. So there's a little merit to both.
