Yes, there will be a good amount of lore and such that may not appear until AOC is live, Steven has stated numerous time that he wants to keep as much lore and such under wraps as long as possible. There is also the fact that once live your server will develop differently to the test phases and as such different quests may populate according to racial influence.

I will because I like lore. But if its all "please kill these 5 wolfs and bring me their pelts because of x reason I will tune out pretty quickly. Sometimes I do tune out and all this cool stuff starts happening and I get confused. So I definitely will be paying attention at first at least. Btw that makes me think what will the first quest or 30 min of gameplay be? Will it be a long cinematic(which could be really, I think the lich king cinematic opening was great) or a quest that hopefully isn't kill 5 of x. Maybe it could be something related to the great terror that drove them away in the first place.

Yes if:
1) It's necessary to complete quests
2) Text may contain hidden information for secret quests

In every MMO I read all quests the first playthrough. After that, I press E or F to get to the point.

If I don't read the quests, they just become busy work. I want to enjoy the game.

Also this is an entire new ip, no reason not to read the quests unless I know 100% that they're just filler content and don't have any actual information about the world.

I mean not every quest is going to be important, it will be about making you care about a character, but we'll see if they matter to the world I guess.

Yes, I always do. Quests are one of my main enjoyments in game, and I always greatly enjoy reading them. I even read little fetch quests in other games.

At the start of wow and I think most of the times tbc and wotlk I read as good as every quest... if it's entertaining and well written I don't say no to AoC Quests. It helps to get into and have some atmosphere so they are important.

I plan to read each quest text. I like to know why I have to kill the mobs. Unless that it would mean just grind, what will be boring very fast.

Yes, especially as this is NOT an end-game game.
Want to rush to level up? Why? Because the world WILL change and theres every chance that without paying attention, chances to access certain content will be lost by the time you want to use it.

It's also more than likely that the info contained in one NPC random chatter, may be the key to discovering the location of one of those few legendary items.

Unless something has changed, Steven has always said that the lore / stories pre-launch, will almost definately NOT be relevant to anything in the launched game.

Speaking of killing 5 wolves, do you know why the big bad wolf attacked the three little pigs?
Because the pigs had his girlfriend Foxy Loxy and the wolf was trying to save her.
