That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die.
They didn't all get equal time my big ones were wow, ddo, gw2, rift, aoc, and anthem
I've also played PoE, both Diablo games, and Torchlight 2, but don't consider them to be MMO's at all, they are ARPG's - though an argument could be made for PoE.
Edit; if I find the time before Ashes launches, I'm going to look at either Tera, Lineage 2 or The Secret World. I'm still pissed off there isn't a AAA GoT MMO.
yea thats it for me , im sure i forgot some i played too but only for short amount of time

UO and Everquest are the most fun I had. Mortal Online was great for the short while it lasted.
ArcheAge had the most potential, but that ball got dropped so hard the ground cracked underneath it.
On UO I lived on the PvP side of the world once that was a thing, and in Everquest I played the most hardcore PvP server, Sullon Zek, where there were 3 factions (Good, Evil, Neutral) based on your chosen deity, no level restriction on who you could PvP, but if they were within honor (or whatever) range, you could take their gold, insignia and 1 item as loot. The other PvP servers all had softer rulesets that really turned me off, like not being able to attack/be attacked by someone who is a certain amount of levels higher or lower than you, and I found (and still find) this incredibly boring and especially immersion breaking.
Immersion is a big part of MMOs for me, and just not being able to do something because a system says so can sometimes be really infuriating. That's where ArcheAge comes in, I just adored the ability to murder your own faction if you really wanted to, it means when that toxic kiddie is laughing and stealing your mining/nodes or kills or whatever you can just pop murder mode on and get rid of them.
ArchAge was for a brief moment my saviour. It had everything I wanted, seemingly. Awesome player housing, great PvP focus (Would still call it a PvX game, but the PvP was open-world and ever present threat), amazing trading pack system that encouraged PvP but was also fun for non-PvPers. The p2w was just atrocious though, but I might have even stuck around through the p2w if they just had OCE servers, but nope. The lag got to me and I quit. PvP is what makes or breaks an MMO to me and the lag made the PvP horrible.
The fact that Steven was most present on ArcheAge gives me a lot of hope. I really like the direction AoC is taking with having open-world PvP and encouraging the type of emergent gameplay I love, by requiring PvP at certain points of the world's story/economy, such as node development/destruction and caravans, and allowing the risk of PvP to be anyplace at anytime. Tradepacks played that role in ArcheAge and it's just nice to have a 'reason' to fight .. and I love the risk vs reward philosophy he's taken on. It's nice to be able to play it a bit safer when you're just feeling like having a chill PvE sesh, and other times taking bigger risks when you're up for some challenge/PvP.
Games without a good PvP ruleset lose me, very quickly. I just don't find it difficult or challenging.
I'm happy with the rules they've made in AoC so far. Instanced content worries me, as a way for people to escape the risk of PvP, but it's only 20% of the content and they said it will be reserved for mainstory plot stuff and arenas, which even for a pvper, would be super annoying to have interrupted!
WOW I enjoyed how polished it was and the boss unique boss fights.
FF14 had a good story for a mmo but the combat was meh at best
BDO. Everything was either the greatest I've ever seen in a mmo or the worst I've ever seen in a mmo, there was no in between.
I currently mostly play Path of Exile (ARPG) though atm.

Couldn`t agree more.. tried it out, but really just couldn`t do it. And I mean, really couldn`t do it.. similarly and nostalgically, I tried out Shroud of the Avatar with a vague hope it would be something between ultima series and a modern ultima online.. lasted about an hour.. about the same total time as my two attempts at Bless.
Yes was more advanced than the 1981 version I played but the original was still better (for its time)

Any other Tibia players?
On and Off from 2008 to current - WoW
Other MMOs I have played but never got into the community or the end game is just lacking
Many more that I started and didn't get past the early game
One of first ever games which I played on pc (laptop which I had back then) was Diablo 1 and 2 in 2001.
My first ever mmo was WoW Vanilla back in 2005.
After that I played NCSoft Dungeon Runners in 2007 which have similarity with Ashes of Creation (UI, skill points leveling) and Aion in 2008.
Later I became Dev for balancing and class design in Aion. I had around 16k hours recorded of playing Aion on xFire back then.
Other mmo's which I have played:
Lineage 2 (one of the best mmo's)
World of Warcraft (every expansion)
Tera
Guild Wars 1 and 2
Neverwinter
Archeage
Black Desert Online
Dragon Ball Online
Rift
Star Wars The Old Republic
Blade and Soul
Cabal Online
Wildstar
LotR Online
Albion Online
...and so on
Notable mention
Back in 2009, beside mmo's, I started playing Call of Duty 2 and 4 on Bitange servers. Around one year later I've became their forum mod and somewhere around 1.5 years later after that I've became Bitange servers administrator. Managing 10-15 servers on old Total Commander. It was fun to manage servers and to ban cheaters when they appear. In that time Bitange was one of the biggest gaming communities.
During that time I played lots of CoD 2 and 4 online and lan tournaments. I traveled with my team through Balkan (ex-Yu) to play lan tournaments.
Well this is basically my small mmo CV.
