To me, it's about their behaviour and the things they do/say and why they do them. If someone ganks me in a game for example, they're probably just having fun, that's not toxic to me in the slightest, but if they start saying stuff like "ur trash fkin kys lol ur trash so bad" .. then I think less of the person. I've had people call me a "race traitor" in PvP games before, because my clan had an alliance with a Hong Kong clan and we were fighting together against these guys who were white (like me). If that's not toxic behaviour I don't know what is. I would totally agree sandbox pvp games attract toxic people. Lots of great people too. Any game with the freedom to do whatever you want will have those kinds, but that's part of what I like about total anarchy. The universe works the way it does. Those people create themselves a lot of enemies, and I've always been able to use that to my advantage to wipe them from the face of the game. As for AoC, I'm just not worried it will be toxic at all in comparison to what I'm used to and comfortable with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what is and isn't toxic and all that other stuff, but I have 0 concerns when it comes to AoC.

I certainly hope this game has the necessary barriers in place to curtail them ruining the experience of other players to where they quit. I've never played archage or lineage so I dont know how popular they are, according to stephen a lot of inspiration came from them. If thats a big enough market to keep AoC successful then great. I dont think this game will appeal to the majority of the MMO market that tends to be casual. I will play this game regardless because I am a PvPer almost exlusively in MMO genre. I am curious how big of an audience is out there hungering for a PVP centric MMO and how toxic it will become with the players that tend to permeate sandbox games like ARK and rust. It's griefing on an unbelievable level.

Going as far as deleting their corrupted player when it get unplayable and starting a fresh one to level. They keep a full stable of alts to jump to, and continue their assault on humanity,.

Or is it just your opinion of playing all of the sandbox games. The games by their very nature are enough evidence. Name me another game genre that allows unthrottled and unmoderated pvp interactions. AND the ability to lose everything uve spent days grinding because u wanted to get some sleep? imagine sleeping... what a mistake. :'( :'(
