Help with gear sinks

Anyone can explain how gear sink will work?
For content replayability in crafting, dungeons, raids so you don't end after getting the best gear.

Or if there will be rng for breaking gears which is a huge gambling problem

There will be RNG breakage for enchanting, but I don't think we have more details about that as yet.

Gear in Ashes will take degredation damage, and so will need to be repaired. Some top end gear may require top end materials to repair, which means that if you want to keep your existing gear, you may have to keep running that content in order to get repair materials for it.
