If I want to live in metropolis, how my contribution to the node really matters ?
As I understand its just sit & wait, unless donating sh1t tons of money to the city or being the mayor

What's the population of a city.?
how can I contribute significantly

Every activity you do in the node correspondent area contribute to the node advancement, no matter it is PVE, PvP, trading, gathering etc., You may refer to

So not only donation or run as Mayor only able to contribute. Try to imagine this, if you are a mayor for the village, but no one is doing nothing in your node, then what are you governing?

Think of it as every time you get xp, you get xp for your node too. You get xp from killing mobs, gathering, processing, and crafting goods, participating in caravan pvp, and completing quests. As for population and how much each person contributes, we will have to wait for the alphas and betas to see, and Intrepid will be open to suggestions and discussions as they are with all things.
