Your Favorite Ingame Music / Gaming Music ? Your own music in taverns ?

Hey, what music do you like to listen to while playing? or do you even like to listen to certain ingame music? I think music makes up half of the anthroposphere.

I like Music like this if i play videogames :

Do you like the idea to play musik in your tavern from youtube or from your computer ?

I listen to different music depending on my the class I am playing.

    Some examples

    -Paladin, Cleric, Templar:

    Ranger, Bard, Druid:

    Mage, Warlock, Necromancer:

This is all subjective, but to me it makes sense.

Also if I am doing any prolonged desert content I will play this album:

For more sci-fi games I lean towards a more dubstep/trap/witchhouse mixes.

This is an interesting concept from a legal perspective.

If I own a tavern in game, and I am playing music from my computer, am I/Intrepid liable for copyright infringement?

Do I need a broadcasting license for the music?

I remember there was a site back in the day called "Turntable.fm"? or something like that. Me and my mates would use it while we were grinding to synchronize the music we were listening to. Basically was the tavern system with music, but in the browser. The site got shut down. I am pretty sure it is because the site got big and the music industry wanted its cut. From what I have heard twitch has dealing with the music industry wanting its cut from streamers playing music in the background, but I don't really know the details.

I think it goes to show that you could probably get away with it for a while, but eventually the music industry is going to want its cut.

Technically/legally speaking, yes you would need to have a licence to play copy-writed music in an in-game tavern. Of course that's assuming the music companies decide to push the issue. One thing for sure though is anyone who happens to be streaming and walks into a tavern playing copy-writed music is screwed.

EDIT: Just realized, i misread the post! Lmfao i'll leave this here anyways for anyone interested. In faster paced games like fps games i tend to listen to EDM, in fantasy games, usually ingame music provided its good music, otherwise i just pick some random fantasy music mix.

For battle music, music that would make it more hype is something i yearn for, many MMOs just dont have fitting boss music, imo boss/battle tracks need to make me feel intimidated. I feel like MMOs have a little too much 'uplifting' music with high tones in general, but i prefer something that matches the environment and scenario. Orcs and Dwarves would have lower tones, whereas elves would have slower piano, harp, choir music.

Something like this would be cool imo for battle music

This would be nice for just background music during regular scenario's
