Fox of the Pyre sculpture (Full Time-lapse + Commentary!)

I made a sculpture of the Fox of the Pyre mount, from the game Ashes of Creation. The build took me 25 hours, though it also required many days of waiting for parts to dry between phases.


I had narrowed down a small handful of my favorite designs, but ended up choosing this one because... it seemed easiest! This was my first major project with this type of clay & armature (my Quarrior used a figurine base), so I wanted to pick something that I understood how to make.

You did an absolutely stunning job!! I used to do a lot of WIP content myself so seeing this brings me joy (I also just love seeing the process behind the final product). I've also been itching to sculpt again so your video doesn't help that haha xD if you plan on making anymore 3D art I highly look forward to it!

Thank you! I'll likely make more, I'm currently shifting focus to finish a live animation (Spine) illustration, which is another type of art I'm hoping to add to the mix. The sculpting is really a unique feeling though, both intense and meditative, so I'm sure I'll do more soon.

Live animation - like stop motion? Either way animation stuff is pretty sweet! Do you have a place where you show off your work? I know not everyone does (like me haha) but always like to ask if I like the work!

Thanks! I kind half designed the signature -- I mostly just reedited the existing dragon logo and typography for a more specific usage (forum sig) but it's a lot easier if you know what you're doing with art :P I also did not create the typography ... oh lawd typography is my least favorite art form to do xD
