Anyone remember the Shadow Knight in Everquest? It was a necromancer-warrior hybrid class.
Much like the Deathknight in THE GAME THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED.
I'm most excited for Necromancer in Ashes, atm, but it got me thinking.
What would be the closest to a dark knight sort of character in Ashes? Would it just be a Necromancer in heavy armour with melee weps, or would you go some other route?
We're just playing imagination in here, interested to hear other peoples ideas and fantasies!

Ooh, like a spooky paladin. I didn't even think of that.
If you go by the class names I would say Shadowblade, Shadow Lord, Shadow Guardian, and Nightshield all sound very deathknightish
A rose by any other name...
Any class can wear any armor and wield any armor, so their could be some cool builds with Rogue archetypes using Shadow magic.
Yeah. If I can make some sort of death/dark/shadow knight build out of this I'll be happy...
Paladins are typically a subset of Cleric.
Knights are typically a subset of Fighter.
Tanks are typically heavily armored Fighters.
But, really, in Ashes, there will be several classes that could be a Death Knight depending on what gear, weapons and augments an individual chooses to use.
