Character Creator MUST HAVE

I know that character creator is going to be advanced and im looking forward to try it out, but in a community for sure we will find ppl taht really care about detail so tehy will create their character even couple of hours! And thats completely fine, but as we know mayn of us will have to play diffrent classes to find the most fitting for them and creating charater over and over can be pain in the ass so there are three solutions:

1. ppl make a ugly character to test classes and then when they find good one they create a good character, but if they find a good class they need to create new character anyways so thats not perfect

2. add option to change ur character in the gamae but that destroy the immersion

3. Imo the best option, add option to save character outlook to use it in the next character

Pretty sure the devs are already hoping for option 3 as a feature.
By the time they get to Beta 2, they will probably have plenty of inspiration from MetaHuman Creator.

So it does look like you should be able to save a good version of your character to load up. Hopefully they release the character creator early so instead of spending the first X amount of time the game is live tweaking your character you can basically already have it done and ready to jump in once the servers are live.

We certainly need a barber in the game, so that at the very least should be in the game.

As for saving presets, I certainly would love that. FF14 was great for having that. I already have 2 slots filled and I only played briefly 🤣

Changing some appearance traits in game is a must, not everything but some things. I also agree that saving your character creator data to load later on a new character is also a must.

Barber seems highly likely.
Daybreak devs had that in Landmark 7 years ago, so should be easy for them to code.

otoh it is 2021 and I still have to pay in bdo to change anything about my appearance. Granted they gave out things that let you do it for free, but it was usually an 'apology gift' for server problems. Nothing predictable. I would rather this sort of thing be part of the game economy, not physical money. Make me pay for new hairstyles post launch, not changing it.

Daybreak devs had it in EQ 20 years ago... before they were even Daybreak.

I will hope that's the case. I love changing ny hair styles on the regular. Especially if they make a hair system as good as or better than bdos

Changing appearance in-game is very important to me. It's also a great little gold sink, if we make it a costly procedure, like an expensive potion you have to buy.

Neverwinter has a nice slider for each part of the body. Has better limits than BDO tho so you can't make too funky characters. Except dragonborn who's should slider should never go past the middle or you look odd af
