Lifetime sub

How long should this be possible in your opinion? My friends were kinda worried about the option simply vanishing at a random time, missing out on the lifetime sub. Would be nice to have some clarification on IS current plans. Like which option is best:

I did not know the option was still available to Kickstarter backers. Must be nice to be a patrician... Us plebs don't even have the option.

Lifetime sub is a double edged sword. On the one hand your definitely getting some value here at some point. On the other you lack any real weapon to use in the event of Intrepid making undesirable decisions.

I suspect that you may attribute less value to the itemized benefits now than you did when, possibly hyped, you signed up.

If it helps give you perspective: you will have several in-game things that are now unobtainable to millions of others. I would love to name an NPC, for example. Heck, I'd write a full character background and personality quirks given the opportunity!

You may not fully value those benefits at this point in time, but the money is spent and it isn't coming back, so why not look forward to the release party and some awesome times ahead?

Once the ability to upgrade KS packages goes away, the ability to get your lifetime subscription will also go away.

Anyone with any tier of a KS package can upgrade at any time.

When do you believe the upgrade ability will go away? I mean, without proper information and warnings about this, a quite large amount of people could be angry.

In the last year, the amount of braver of men kickstarters has trippled. The reason is that every single summer backer, and kickstarter, can freely upgrade to any kickstarter tier right now.

Hey! You are correct, I do believe it devalues the commitment and risk I took back in 2018. Intrepid marketed the whole thing as "this is the last change".

I remember the final 10 minutes, where i switched my kickstarter package from the basic one just at the last minute. If I had known I could just have waited 5 years, now that I am a lot richer, I would have done so. Nobody told us you could just upgrade to the higher packages whenever you felt like it.

But that is not the whole problem. If they suddenly remove this ability without proper warning, there will be huge outrage. Because right now there are 3500 bravers of world backers, but there are potentially 20 000 braver of worlds backers, just "waiting" to upgrade to that level.

I just want some clarification on when they will remove this option. So that people have time to make their decision on how much they want to support the project.

They have given clarification. "We will give you plenty of notice before we remove the ability to upgrade." There is your answer. You don't have to like it. It is what it is.

There will be plenty paying $15 a month to keep them honest though

Curious if Lifetime Sub shows up in Account Inventory (I have Braver of Worlds but don't see anything in inventory about months of subscription or Lifetime anywhere).
