Having progress artificially gated and being forced to grind for no reason at all was a let down. I disagree about P2W being not-a-thing in Lost Ark - it doesn't matter to me if it's not as bad as BDO or Maplestory or gacha games, the fact that Real Money can be converted directly into in-game gold is absolutely pay to win. Even the devs have admitted and apologized by their own analysis that Mari's shop and scalpers have a huge advantage.
