Orcs, we all love em

I know the models for ren'kai gals haven't been revealed yet but that's the best time to put my two cents out there to be heard. I am So Bored of the age old monstrous male and blue/green/red basically human female sexual dimorphism in games. I really hope female ren'kai are gonna be just as cartoonishly buff and huge and wild looking as guys. And I know sliders exist but I really would love the "basic" models to be equally orcish.

and not the usual laughable "character design" we get

I'm confused, do you want race diversity or not?

If there are hot females on human and elf, then that is going to be the mass majority of female picks.

You can call it closed minded or degenerate thinking all you like, at the end of the day, people main these characters.

In a D&D campaign, you can roleplay or play any bizarre looking thing for a few hours each week happily.

Race diversity and all females looking like extremely toned down boring multicolor humans in games are two different things. Would you think that male orcs need to be hot to be picked as player characters? Then why do female orcs need to be? (also hot is a very subjective term, you and I might find different things hot)

I have seen it and I like this concept art a lot! But I know final production doesn't always follow the concept art so I wanted to get my opinion out there.

Only hot female players should make hot female characters!

@Riessene Male Orcs and Dwarves appeal to the male strength/sturdy fantasy, as well as different variance of mystic variant being a cool spell casting niche (check out L2 Orc Mystic).

The thing with all these different races though, is that they still embody human characteristics and the huge majority of the playerbase, men, generally have the eye for attraction always switched on.

As far as it looks, you're able to create any potential horror of face you like and stretch out proportions to have more freaky features but I think it's an extremely niche audience that is going to be satisfied with your approach, including imo, bizarre conversations and self roleplay of why you picked such a "monsterous" looking thing.

Your troll male example for instance, does really scream the potential legendary growing hero status does it, that would typically be a potential strong villian with some ridiculously annoying power. Call me meta hollywood fantasy/anime shonen all you'd like, I don't mind :p

At the end of the day I see AoC as a long PvX + competitive game, pretending it's some RP delight imo is ridiculous and forcing an RP curve inside of a game where most of the population isn't on the same wave length is basically saying your anti-social and anti-game focused (D&D is not a game with winners and losers, it's an experience, that is fantastic at what it does!).

I'm not saying your big thinkpiece on what appeals to guy gamers and what deep meanings roleplaying has is incorrect it's just not what I am talking about at all. (Also I'm not the author of that hilarious graphic I yoinked it from reddit)

I am simply stating my desire to see female variants of fantasy races have as much varied and interesting appearances as male ones and bringing attention to how they usually are unnecessary different from male variants in a worse way from a design standpoint.

You are going to be disappointed when you see a hot female character and then you hear my deep manly voice in voice chat.

I think this is 100% possible 👀 There are green renkai concept arts and I don't see why blue/purply vek can't be green.

I agree, I liked that female Nightkin and Supermutants in Fallout were just as monstrous as the males.

I've seen that green Ren'Kai concept art but I'm little bit concerned about Vek. I would like to have an option to make them green because in my mind the traditional orc color is green. :)
