What if you give the opportunity to ban spammers and possible bots to ordinary players. This perk can be a reward for a very difficult quest chain, or only possible for mayors of cities from 4 progress levels (to avoid exceeding powers).
this may look like a reward in the form of the title "sheriff" and an active skill for punishment. ⭐

No thanks. It would be exploited, just like spam reporting in New World to ban an opposing guilds members before a fight.

There would be LOTS of players who make mistakes. There would be even MORE who use it to grief enemies in the game. There would be some who would grief random players.

Sorry but a Very Hard NO to this idea.

Just apply to become a GM honestly. This idea is too exploitable. Rival guilds will ban eachothers leaders, players would save them to boot anyone that they disagreed with. Overall it would be irresponsible to give random people that kind of power.

The proper way to go would be to have a vetted team of GM's specifically working to find and ban bots.

Yeah there are way too much potential for incompetence and abuse if players have any direct say in bans.

Also a very strong NO, but I had to comment just to amend your suggested title from "Sheriff" to "Sharif".
