If a player is killing mobs with an aoe and another player runs into said aoe will that flag the player killing mobs for PvP?
If a player deals say 90% of the damage to another player and then that damaged player dies to a mob, will the player that did 90% damage still become corrupted?

No and no.
8th reference talks about AoE. The flagging scheme says "kills" before becoming corrupted, not "attacks".

1. No. There is no running into someone else's aoe and getting them to flag. You have to click on someone with a direct damage ability to "force flag".
2. Currently corruption is only given on a death blow. The exact scenario you outlined was posed to Steven and he said basically "go for it!" Thing is, you don't see the other person's exact health, so while trying to whittle them down, you could fuck up and kill them and get the corruption. Also like everything else, corruption and its mechanics will be extensively tested during A2 and loopholes, exploits, and griefing actions outside of their intention will end up in changes to the system.
As always, all of this information is on the wiki. Happy searching.
