ocean combat

Have you guys thought about adding npc ships that travel from one port to another that players can raid like a player ship. Maybe add some escort ships that need to be boarded and kill the captain that is an elite npc. maybe even be able to salvage the wreckage for some basic materials.

Why play with npcs? That's what players are for.

players aren't the only thing that will fill out a game. npc encounters play an important role too. i also was talking about attacking them. not riding with them

I would expect to see wildlife as ocean based mobs, rather than ships.

A person will be much more difficult to play against, some people would want a more casual kind of challenge.

NPC naval combat in AC:Odyssey was fun as hell. Throw a few groups of solid AI pirate schooners in the open ocean and it will be awesome.

I would suppose that to be akin to the bandits that lurk along the trails we can go down. I think it would be fun to see both sea life and human life as npc interactives be it friendly or otherwise!
