Gambling Boxes in other MMO's

So this am ESO came out with a new sparkly set of gambling boxes containing a bunch of amazing things that they lock out of their normal store. In the crates one of the top tier reward is this purple glowy beast mount. My dumb self spent close to $200 in hopes of getting it, because it would look so good with my purple magicka sorcerer... (I should've known better since this ain't my first time doing this :bawling:)

Didn't receive a single top tier reward from opening over 80 crates...

I really hope Intrepid will never go the route of gambling boxes. Ever. Because you truly feel awful afterwards. :cold_sweat:

    only loot boxes i dont mind are those that are only required in game but thats basicly the same thing as chests :P

    There is one gamble I would adore in AoC:

    Having 3 arena divisions:
    • carebear arena: 0% loot drop
    • junior: 50% loot drop
    • master: 100% loot drop

    Gambling loot is amazing
    PvE means: A handful of coins and a bag of boredom.

    Hey. Newbie's 2 cents. Totally get how annoying it can be to spend a ton of cash on those gambling boxes and not get what you were hoping for. Been there, done that, and it sucks! Let's hope Intrepid doesn't go down that crappy route and keeps things fair and fun for everyone. By the way, if you're into sportsbook reviews, you should totally check out betcanada365.ca. They've got some awesome insights and recommendations. Anyway, super stoked to have you here, and here's to a better gaming experience in the future

    They actually made this a business model in the real world.
    Buy a Mystery GPU for $200, "it could be" a 3090...
