Freeholds / Guild halls. Small guild issue

Yeah peasant! Know your place! Your $15 are not worth as much as those in the big guilds! You chose the wrong playstyle. Be a drone in a big guild, or be a serf for them to exploit and laugh at for not being able to use one of these super exclusive guild halls!

The number of guild halls is very limited and are capped by the size of the node. A smaller guild would likely be better off just trying to get themselves a freehold to share. Honestly, your best bet if you already have a group of friends you intend to play with would be to go to the opposite side of the map from the larger guilds and build a node up for yourselves.

Do it all your way and at level 3 your crew can scoop up the freeholds before other people realize they're available.

Small guilds in Ashes just aren't going to cut it if you want an actual game to play.

Ye, go ahead and over-exaggerate; don't miss out on the chance to QQ. Just because the OP is used to participation trophies that doesn't mean that AoC will be a badly designed game in which small guilds won't have ANYTHING to play with.

I'm not "QQ'ing".

I'm simply agreeing with the fact that Ashes is only a game for people in large guilds.

Not sure why you are quoting me here when all I am doing is agreeing with someone else. Why not have a go at them instead?

Fact is, Ashes will be a game where small guilds simply won't have much at all to do. I'm sure you want to go rambling on about "processing up to tier 3 is in node" or some shit, but what that actually means is processing for equipment up to level 30 out of 50.

Without a node you can't even process basic materials for trash level 50 gear.

It isnt a fact that small guilds wont have anything to do; and it has nothing to do with this topic.

The OP simply wants everyone to have access to guildhalls. A small, focused guild with competitive players that dont want to be part of a large guild will for sure own halls and freeholds and ships and maybe even a castle if they are good at mmos.

But not with the attitude shown by the OP. "Ugh... it looks hard, can we get a separate system?"

I think people have missed my point I'm just asking a question. Because steven from the begin has said the game is built around a 8 man party for the most part i understand there are 40 man raids etc.

So going off the information they want most content balanced on 8 man parties I'd assume most content can be accessed by 8 players in a party i wasn't saying that a small guild should have the top of top guild hall. I'm saying are there smalled guild halls etc.

I find that this forum always has so much negative was just a genuine question.

See, don't tell George any of this - because it is all perfectly reasonable to assume.

It isn't how the game will be, but it is perfectly reasonable to assume.

Edit to add; in addition to groups being 8 players and there being 8 classes, there are also 8 base spots in a family. The notion that you would be able to have access to all types of content (even if not all content) with 8 players really is a reasonable assumption to make.

I just think yeah fair enough let the big guilds battle for massive plots of land and big freeholds but I'm hoping there are smaller alternatives

I've been arguing for smaller freehold alternatives since the day the changes were announced.
