Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Glorious Ashes of Creation Community!

Our next Development Update Livestream preview of the Alpha Two Event System with a wave-based combat world event will be Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11am Pacific! (Click here to convert this to your local time.)

Similar to our past streams, we'd love to gather some questions from you to answer live! Please submit your question for our development team in the thread below, and we'll select 10 of them at random to answer during the end of our livestream. In order to accommodate a variety of questions from our community, please only post ONE question below - the more direct, and succinct the better (think one to two sentences)! Submissions end Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11am Pacific, so we can select your questions before the broadcast.

    Games like Destiny have rare equipment (exotics) that offers unique abilities, skills, or effects that change, either somewhat or completely, how a class is played. Will there be equipment, either singular pieces or set gear bonuses, that offers unique abilities that change how a class is played? If so, are there current examples you can give?

    For freeholds, will giving permissions to guild members count towards the previously stated 9 person cap associated with families or is it a separate number?

    Can Fighters specialize with bows (like in Pathfinder) or are they really just the 'melee physical' archetype. Being able to equip a bow isn't the same if your skills don't work with them. Likewise with rangers and two-weapon fighting.

    What is your design goal with the summoner class? I understand that it won't be available at the launch of Alpha 2; however, how would you like it to function in combat once you work out the programming? I played a summoner in Everquest and enjoyed it? What percentage of the damage will come from the summoner and what percentage from the pet? Will we summon the summoned creature and then it will smart attack what we are attacking or will we manually control the summoned creature?

    Since tulnar returning to verra are considered indifferent amongst themselves towards this decision how might this affect gameplay? Will the surface folk of verra share indifferences as well towards this re-emerging?

    Will there be a system in place where a player who wants to hire other players to escort their caravan would be able to ask players or guilds who will guard the caravan for collateral which will be repaid upon completion of the escort in addition to payment for the escort service?
