In game Newspaper!

Each server should have a in game newspaper. You could pick it up twice a week at any node. It would highlight the servers top guilds and players recent achievements. Node siege victors. And a section called DMs stories, where a DM tells a story of an interaction they had. I think this could add a lot and not take much work.

Back in L2, someone published one (The Erica Enquirer for the Erica server) on the server discussion board. It was full of gossip, news, rumors and lies...such as how to do a series of emotes that would make the female dark elf's blouse open up.

I like it, as long as what's published in the newspaper always has either an author or a name and date attached to each article I am all for that. A guild could decide who to be friends with and/ or who is an ass and deserves to have their castle sieged based off of what's published. Although IRL the media is usually a bunch of lies, not sure if it would be the same in a MMORPG, probably so.

whats a dm? a dungeon master?

anyways, the game will already have something similar where you can check the story of that server from the beginning to end.

I'd rather it just an generalisation of news rather than player controlled.

Could be good to know the outcomes of certain battles across the nodes with wars, sieges and guilds presented in a fun way.

Do it. Go make a Press Guild in the Guild Recruitment channel.

I don't see why not.

Get a big enough guild, and you can do it for multiple servers.
