Archmage instead of Archwizard

not trying to support a cause or anything but surely the combination of "Mage" primary and then as your secondary taking "Mage" again would mean you are an "Archmage" where did the wizard come from?

  • You become Archmage only if you at level 1 pick human mystic class, then at level 20 change to human wizard, then at level 40 you decide to become Sorcerer and only then at level 76 you become the Archmage - no other ways, sorry.

Or drop the arch prefix and call a mage/mage a wizard, it's a tittle not used on its own. But archmage is fine. So would be magus, ...

I imagine it's a nod to the DnD Wizard class?

They can just change all the class/class names to Archclass really. Archrogue, Archranger, etc. Say Archbard 10 times quickly.

    Meh
  • As a healer main, I always appreciate a distinction between terminology for offensive and general mages including healers/support.

Warlock and wizard exist, no need to use mage as a term reserved for a DPS class. =')
