    Im with you there.

Honestly if they had scheduled for end of Q3, and then missed it into Q4 (although its only around a month delay) I would expect a delay to November. Good thing theres plenty of games out now that are decent.

Yeah, people gonna take time off work and then only experience the alpha for like 5h a week, cause the servers keep crashing :D

October release is good since on September it would collide with other release, now we can focus on both.

It's an alpha. Really can't understand or recommend people taking time off to playtest. People shouldn't expect a game release.

I think their point is that Alpha is heavy on testing and light on actually playing the game.

There’s a handful of Alpha 2 players that are still in this la-la land that they’re going to be playing a fully finished product.

Not the best use of vacation time in my opinion … but to each their own.

I just don't want to see all these reddit posting slamming the game being in a state with some issues and them losing most their vacation time.

Better use of the time is wait for after the big release for them to ion out the bugs and less of a big rush.

Crash + server wipes + que times + other issues will be strongest the start of it ie the first week people want to book off.

Good thing about A2 being in october is the hype will run into the Extra Life stream.

I'm hoping for a huge turnout this year.

    This is why Amnesty rocks.

The girl watched the last of the creatures die and murmured a soft 'Thank you' to her rescuer.

The stranger's eyes lifted to the blood red cloud on the horizon.

'We have to move. It's not safe here.'

I wonder if they will try to put some Halloween assets in game for the alpha start? Even an alpha Halloween event. It is not only an alpha from play test perspective, it's also an alpha from a support, community, and maintenance perspective.

Time spent on Halloween assets would pay off by having some recyclable/reuse of those at a later date.

As for time off for an alpha launch. It may warrant a day off on a Friday, or a four day weekend or something. Maybe a strategically made sick call somewhere a couple weeks after A2 launch and stabilization.

The biggest item from the launch will be that there is not an NDA. So this will be a here it is with warts and all. Being streamed, posted and discussed across the entire social and media ecosystem. So buckle up, it is a critical moment for marketing and perspective on this title as it introduces itself to the world.

Oh, these folk will never learn. They can be told, explained to and shouted at... Steven can say 1 million times (and at this point probably has) that this is a "true Alpha" and it is for testing and NOT to expect a game release. They will not heed this information, because they don't want to. They WANT a game! They WANT all the stuff! and they will be the very first people on here and elsewhere crying and complaining about the "unfinished" state of the game in October, most likely within the first 24 hours of the Alpha 2 launch.

A2 will be going on for a few years, right up to live Launch. You can book time off at any point once it's started, and still be able to immerse yourself in the testing.

i dont agree with anything Halloween related. I want them making a game not making events for an alpha, save that for when the game comes out....
