Download the Day-of, or Ahead of Time?

I feel like this has been addressed before, BUT:

Will we not be able to download the A2 until the day it goes live, or will we be getting an email like a day or two ahead of time, to download it?

    Those emails have not been sent out yet. As Intrepid is heading into their weekend, it's unlikely that emails will get send out before next week :)

    the data divers are gonna jump into any early downloads... which may not matter given the lack of an NDA

    My expectation is they are working their butts off towards a successful Alpha 2 start, so they will likely drop the build files at the last minute. Figure the downloads happen at the start of Friday’s livestream with Alpha 2 start at 2pm Pacific. Provided they don’t delay it.

    And in the spirit of all live streams (in general) they will make a real-time counter showing how many times the installer was downloaded or how many Gbps of traffic is going through servers lol.

    im hoping they send the emails the day before or the morning of the 25th before stream, releasing it at the start of stream is a bad idea as its a kick in the teeth for anyone without Gbit internet given the size is gonna prob be somewhat big and sometimes emails dont go through to everyone so its prob gonna start a fire just from emails not arriving etc.

    if they are going for the big huzzah and having people login and load into the servers at end of stream then they should release a day before or in the morning
