Idea for RELIGION

I really hope, religion is not required unless it is my RL religion. Religion in a game should always be optional. Some people may be ok with some religious things and not ok with other things. Please do not give incentives to only people who follow a particular religion, UNLESS you can name the religion to your own and the things your able to do are somehow decided by the player - maybe optional quests to add to our custom religions via choices with an in-game tool. TY!

I can assure you that none of the religions in game will be your RL religion, they will all be fantasy religions like every Roleplaying game has had for decades. And they will certainly be optional as the player will not start with one and need never join, just like other social orgs which is really all that religions in game are.

As for benifits I am sure all will have some kind even if it is just access to augments, I would not be surprized if the players collectivly unlock the buffs by doing quests. Alternativly the highest ranked player aka the 'pope' of said religion might be able to pick effects unilaterally.

How do you know this? I have no problem it being in game for people who want it, as long as I am not praying or working for a God or religion I do not believe in.

I think this will be a "if you don't want it, don't engage with it." Part of the game if you cant separate digital fictional religion from your own. Like pvp nodes will be for a majority of pve lovers.

You'll just have to live with it or steer clear of religious acts/nodes.

I have no problem with whatever you or anyone else believes. I do have a religion personally. Any acts that are for another are against mine is all im concerned about. As long as it is optional, I will be happy. Many things against what I believe can be added for others and again, I am fine with that, as long as I am in no way forced to take part in it.

That said, I do hope there is something for all of us in this regard. I have high hopes! TY for your response! Also, I love you and everyone, I respect your freedom and am happy to be able to chat with you.

haha I hear ya. We all have something that we like or dislike. When it comes to religion, there are those who are sensitive about it, I happen to be one of them. That said, I am thrilled that just like many other CHOICES or options, it is available for both sides of the coin.

This raises an interesting point.

What is the cap on the number of social-organizations you can join? To what degree are their mutually incompatable? I'm assuming all the religions are mutually exclusive so you can only be in one at a time.

But dose that mean that you have effectivly one 'slot' for religion and say for example 3 other orgs? I would hope that a character without a religion can join more social orgs to compensate.

bruh you didn't get it. suppose you are so convinced that being part of a religion in a video game equals you worshipping another god and therefore going to hell. In that case, it stands to reason that if you aren't part of any religion and don't believe in any of the gods in said video game, then you are an atheist.

you could always say well, its not me, its my character. but if that's the case, then your character can worship any god from any religion, since its not you.

if you have a problem worshipping a fictional god in a video game, then you have a problem not believing as well, aka atheist. pick a side.

ahh wow. you are right, it went over my head. lol... Good point. Its a strange thing really in games. If there is no belief system for my character in-game that I agree with and all the religions in it are not for my character, then for this game, you are correct in a way with what he is. That said, I will have to role play in my head that he still has my beliefs if that makes sense.

The only religion that cant be destroyed is the one God endorses. I wont get into more than that on forums for a video game though.
