You can not effect non-combatant targets with AoE spells until you hit them with a single target ability first. You certainly can be ganked, and elect to fight back or not. If you fight back, just don't target the people with green names and you will not have to worry about accidentally killing someone. If you elect to not fight back, return to your body (with or without friends) and kill the newly corrupted player(s) for some free loot. You are not really at risk of becoming corrupted by accident.

Suffering zero penalty for me ganking that guys 10 levels lower than me over and over again. This is already an active way of clearing corruption, seen it multiple times. And who knows how many times guys ran out of view to clear it.

My problem is I want this PvX game so badly but the world is so massive. To have risk vs reward everywhere. You will need allot of people playing per server. Nothing is tuned to casual play. Casuel's make up i think, normally 60 to 80% of any games population depending on the type of MMO. From crafting to death penalty. I personally don't think severs will have that balance. This means 1. Make the game more casual friendly and keep the map size or 2. Make the map smaller and keep the burn. Easiest of the two is lower the burn rate.

May want to read the wiki. There is many ways this game will cater to casuel gamers.https://www.ashesofcreation.wiki/Playstyles What Steven has said this game will not be casuel play style. This game will be about risk and reward but the promise was casuels will have a place. Current game play has driven away most of them. So this was the plans and was a lie. Or things need to be adjusted. Ashes will not be profitable without casuel's.

You not getting what I'm saying its tuned too high on the pain side to have casuel's want to play. Have the pain but not pain for pain sake. Look what old school gave us that adds to the game and what is inconvenience for inconvenience sake, drop it or lower it.
