    Nvidia hasn't released a driver update for my card in a few years so unfortunately this didn't work for me. I clearly have Directx 12 though, so this isn't a user issue.

    I installed a new Windows. Before that I had a pirated one. After installing Windows and the game I had an error related to the DLL. I fixed it and I can finally play.

    Having the same issue. Using labtop, have DirectX 12, and still receiving the pop up error when attempting to launch.

    Hello all,

    The team is working to investigate this issue, and they'd like DirectX Diagnostic (DxDiag) from testers having this issue to help us sort this one out.

    I've DM'ed people from this thread, but if either you don't get the DM or you see this thread later, this is how to send this to us so the team can investigate:

    Use the steps below to generate a DxDiag:
    1. Hold the Windows key on your keyboard.
    2. Tap the R key to open the Run window.
    3. In the pop-up window, type: dxdiag
    4. Press the Enter key
    5. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will load.
    6. If there is a pop-up window asking about digital driver signing; click Yes to proceed.
    7. Click the Save all information button
    8. Click the Save button
    9. The file should be saved to your desktop as dxdiag.txt
    10. Click the Exit button
    11. Please attach the dxdiag.txt file to the Support Ticket.

    For subject in the Support ticket, please write "DirectX 12 Issue" and send this to us here: https://support.ashesofcreation.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000558614

    I fixed it with a gpu upgrade. Have a 980ti now and a i7 3k which is still below mins but works great.

    Same problem here! I'm running on an acer inspire with an intel iris xe graphics card, with supposedly meets the minimum system reqs. I've tried pretty much all the fixes in this thread, or the equivalent thereof, and nothing has worked so far. If anyone comes across a solution, please post it here for the rest of us!

    Edit: I posted this without checking page 2 of the forum. The problem is being worked on.

    Update: I got an email back with some suggestions with how to fix it, and it's all stuff that's already on this thread. However, I checked the comparison stats between the Iris Xe and the Nvidia gtx 1070 (minimum req), and it does sound like the Iris Xe is a bit sub-par. I don't know how significant of an impact that would make on the game's performance, but unless anyone with the Iris Xe has made it work, we might just have to wait for the game to develop a bit more.

    Last week some people were able to add the argument to the launcher "-dx11" and run the game for a short period. This no longer works.

    I've compared my dxdiag to someone else's, and it appears the type of DX12 required is a newer version than some people are able to obtain.

    There is an easy fix to this which is to create a hotfix with a DLL or patch allowing people with older versions of DX12, or just simply having any version of DirectX12, to be allowed to run the game.

    They just need to enable all versions of DX12. What GPU do you have?

    Morning all - just wanted to see if there is an update here? I still seem to receive the error (although I acknowledge it’s midweek and servers aren’t up) and we’ve missed out on two weeks of testing

    worth noting that both my computers with nvidia had no problem: 1080Ti then upgraded to 4080 super; the two computers with Intel graphic cards had the same issue and older gaming laptop with AMD card had the issue described above.

    also, either on all or most of installs I had to go through missing 'xinput1_3.dll' error, to solve it need to download installer from https://www.microsoft.com/ en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

    This is completely distinct from the issue we have been experiencing here. I haven't heard much of an update and hope there is still some visibility on this issue.
