Not everyone is watching videos. And putting a simple notification when you log in is not difficult and may show some good results. You and the others were explained in videos and in numerous forum posts what to expect, why the rest of the crowd shouldn't get educated? I think it's a good idea.

I haven't learnt anything from friends except the phrase 'Google is your best friend'.
