Character Creator: Some Shaded Areas on Character Intermittently Flashing Bright White
Armorlord
Member, Alpha Two
Description
Areas of shading on the character models during character creation flashing white intermittently. Occurred with and without equipment. Could not detect a specific cadence nor trigger.
Bug Reproduction Steps
Launching the game and entering character creation without adjusting any settings. GTX 1080 w/ 8GB GDDR5X
Expected Result
Not seeing flashing shadows.
Bug Report - Actual Result
Some areas of shading flashing when going into character creation with initial settings.
GTX 1080 w/ 8GB GDDR5X
Flashes themselves could not be captured in screenshots due to irregular occurrence and short duration, circled areas in red that had flashing, used models without equipment to identify more uniform areas:

Less flashing was seen once in the game, and not seen again after adjusting graphics settings.
Settings were all at medium with optimize shadows unchecked. Only changes were checking optimize shadows, shadow quality to low, and view distance to high. Hadn't experimented with the settings individually, would normally double check, but typing this up during server down time.
Suggestion
Besides the potentially adjusting the default settings or shaders, a different solution could be having access to the video settings while in the Character Creator. That is out first opportunity to see character graphics and could be a good time to allow people to make initial adjustments,

This was also intermittent, but not flashing, sometimes while going back and forth between character appearance menus there would be icons missing that were visible on other visits to the same menu.
