Monitors randomly shut off

No issue running the game FPS is fine loading is fine and after about 5 mins of playing my monitors just disconnect or gpu shuts down. I can still hear things going on with my computer just nothing on any of my screens.

I'm having the same issue, I've tried to alt-tab, alt-esc, even ctrl-alt-del to bring up a menu. I've tried disconnecting the cables from each monitor and reinserting them. No luck each time. Only fix is a hard reboot for me.

This has happened to a few of my guildmates as well

I have the same problem, but it's more random, I can play for minutes/hours until it happens, but sometimes it happens shortly after logging in.
I have monitored my graphics card (Geforce 3090) and my RAM (64GB), but there are no abnormalities here, the graphics card runs stably at 70 -75°C .
The activities I perform are also very different, sometimes they switch off when riding, sometimes when fighting or sometimes simply when mining resources.

same issue here. Seems to be tied to loading assets. I have lowered the view distance to the lowest setting and that has allowed me to play for longer stints but I will always crash eventually just as described above.

    Same graphics card here

Just bought the game. Having the same issue. It happened twice now. I have a 3090, two monitors and one is ultrawide. After playing the game for 5 minutes my monitors just turn off. The only way to fix it is a hard reboot of the my PC. I guess the game is just unplayable?

Same here, 3 monitors and 3090 GPU with up to date drivers. Randomly monitors go to black screen but I can hear the game still running in background, have to restart pc to resolve. Nothing specific seems to cause the issue. GPU staying within expected temperature and not running out of VRAM. This has only happened since alpha 2, didn’t experience it in the other alphas.

I have a similar setup. 2 Monitors (1 is ultrawide) and a 3090GTX. After a few minutes of playing my screens just go black.

This is definetly an issue with their code and their game. I have played many other games that are more demanding than this one including games on UE5.

I'm not sure there is going to be a fix we can do on our end and the devs are going to have to prioritize this to get it fixed.

Otherwise, if they don't I wonder if we can request a refund?

I saw in another post someone with same issue and they resolved it by undervolting their gpu using msi afterburner. I've tested this today and I managed to play a full hour with no issues. Sadly had to go to work so wasn’t able to test for longer but it might be something to try.

on a first day I had a ton of crashes of all sorts, extended freezes on loading new assets, freezes and crashes when turning camera (usually behind my character) fast, once my monitor turned black and computer restarted.

after that I lowered all settings to Low and barely have any issues since.
4080 super, intel i7 11th, 64GB. before the GPU upgrade, I had 1080 TI or 2080 ti I don't remember and I was playing on Low settings so I essentially I didn't upgrade anything lol.

The fix of undervolting the GPU using MSI Afterburner seems to have worked for me. So far I’ve managed 5 hours today without any crashes.
In Afterburner I reduced the core clock to -200MHz, then using the curve editor (ctrl F) I dragged the 850 voltage Mv point to 1860 frequency MHz. You might need to tweak yours slightly as it can vary for each GPU manufacturer. Also don’t forget to press apply for the changes to take effect. There is also a setting in afterburner to apply overlocking at system start up so you don’t need to do this every time you boot up the pc.

I have an Nvidia 2080ti and I am now starting to get this same issue. I must cold boot my computer to get the display ports to come back on.
  • SynzoaSynzoa Member, Alpha Two, Early Alpha Two
Any updates on this? I am still getting the same issue and having to cold boot the computer to get them to come back on. It is very random. sometimes I can play for hours and some times only for 15 mins.

I'd like to know the same. I haven't tried playing for 2 weeks because I am fearful this game might brick my pc.

The undervolting workaround I did worked for me, I’ve played several hours each day without any crashes

    That's awesome.

Problem is, I'm an idiot so I don't know how to do that. Can you give a summary?

I’m the same, but I managed to find out how by googling undervolting 3090. One of the videos I found was easy to follow. I used a software called MSI Afterburner to do the undervolting and just set the limits to what it showed in the videos
