Launcher BSOD

so I'm having this issue, whenever I try to launch to update Ashes of Creation launcher my PC BSOD. when I look at the event viewer I get the critical event ID 41 task category (63) and the source is Kernal-Power. now I only ever BSOD on the launcher. and I just installed the game on a Fresh windows reinstall. now whenever I play any other games or run any other launchers I don't BSOD. it's only ever happened with the AOC launcher. any advice and is anyone else having this issue?

I re-installed both the launcher and game on a second hard drive and the crashing ceased. for some reason installing the game/launcher on my main hard drive caused the crashing.
