Some mobs, namely wolves and bears, take a long long time to "pet" them. Might be worth looking into the time it takes to pet mobs.

I would say there should be less of them on map, they should give more resources and it should take much, much, much longer, that it will be different then other gather skills. but generally "Press F to tame wolf" is super not good. My first tame was bear and I was not believing it that I got resources just by clicking F and some wait, I do like 'waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat' when done it and thinking of it as bug at first.

I understand that it need to be 'easy' enough that in future some best pro farmers will be gathering bears barehanded will listening favourite music on spotify through 4 hours. But at least then making it less objects+ longer time and more resources per usage would balance it

Or maybe there is another plan how this will work in future....

So you want in the middle of the forest while you are surrounded by monsters that respawn every 15-20 seconds to wait longer to pet a bear? It is already long enough. I usually get a respawn on top of me while farming.

Also, more resources how? Petting one bear and getting 10 bear mounts?
You need to take into consideration husbandry and tanning. You say you want them to be rarer. What do you do about those 2 professions?

They did say that the current hunting mechanics is not the way it is intended to be. So, until we get the right mechanics online, let me gather them faster...
