Memory usage?

Ok let me see if I can explain this properly. My system uses about 8-9 GB of the 32GB of memory available with just Mozilla and a few other background apps running. When I log into AoC the loading progress bar goes slowly up to about 75% and it kind of hangs there for a second, and then it looks like it opens the game again and goes to 100% quickly. As I have played for about 30 minutes it seems sluggish and my mount doesn't run anymore it just kind of glides along the terrain, When checking memory usage my system with AoC running is using about 24 GB of system memory. Is this what other players are experiencing? Cheers....

As an addendum, my GPU is a MSI AMD RX 6950 XT with 16 GB DDR6 ram. At Medium settings @ 1920x1080 my GPU is at 100% use utilizing almost 11 GB of video RAM.

No one else having memory use issues? Is this the default amount of ram utilized while playing AoC? How is it affecting gamers with systems that have only 16 GB of RAM?

This morning I manually updated my MSI GPU to the latest software version, Adrenaline 24.12.1 ( I had the automatic update enabled but it wasn't updating automatically

)
I logged in this morning, and limited my in game FPS to 60 (down from 75) with all settings on MEDIUM, and my GPU use is at 70% to start out but then increasing to 100% again after a while,utilizing 8/16 of 16 GB VRAM. which is a lot better than the past several days, as I have mentioned in my prior posts. My system RAM is still high at 20 GB however.

I lowered all video settings to LOW to get the GPU to to drop from 100% usage to about65-70%

Sometimes I see ashes using 24GB of ram. Usually happens when I need to relog due to storage/visual/drop issues.

There is obviously a problem with performance and optimization that we hope they fix in the coming months

I agree, the sad part is that my memory usage usually goes to 22 GB when I log in, not after a certain amount of time testing. Thank you for your reply BTW.

I am hoping its sooner than later. The game is a beautiful world, having to test on LOW settings is not optimal with my PC setup. Thank you for your reply.....Cheers

I was just able to log in but my GPU use went to 100% right at login and the memory use went to 22 GB with all settings on LOW. I would like to have a response from any of the Dev team acknowledging this issue if at all possible. Cheers

Been using 20-24GB of RAM regardless of settings or location or server. I'm sure devs are aware but could be causing issues for those with 8 or 16GB

I Uninstalled AoC yesterday and installed a clean version, but my GPU was still at 75% and DRAM 22 GB at login with ALL settings on LOW
Sys specs.
i7-137000k, MSI XT 6950 RX 16 GB DDR6 VRAM, 32 GB DDR6 DRAM, Samsung 970 Pro 1 TB NVMe drive.

Today I lowered my FPS from 60 to 30 and saw the GPU use plummet to about 40%. I was able to raise my graphics quality from Low to High without any discernible difference in resources loading down.MY VRAM is at 10/16 GB but my DRAM is still at 24/32 GB however.

I'm having some issues recently with memory usage and it's seems to be completely freezing my game. Everything still runs in the background but I can't switch to anything else and can't end the game, results in having to hard reset my PC. Anyone else found this?

For every one experiencing this kind of issue:

Create a ticket with the support team. There was a pinned thread about this and it was unpinned with no follow up from staff. Best bet now is to send in tickets and ask them to get it added to the known issue list.

Most people have seen that turning off Super Resolution and capping to 30FPS gives a couple of hours of playtime before this type of issue happens again.
