The rest of the game

Genuine question. With how responsive Intrepid is with the alpha and fixing the issues and bugs. How can they be working on the rest of the game at the same time? I know nothing about game development. This is a genuine question.

When building games, you build frameworks and systems first.

Usually, when you see a specific thing working, it means that almost every similar thing is probably also working to similar levels.

The devs might use an event, or in the case of Ashes, a patch that deploys a big fix for Bug A, to add and test New System B, but without making New System B 'the important thing'.

In an Alpha, or in a skillful implementation of a live game, it is fairly easy to 'get away with this' sort of thing, and therefore it's just step-by-step.

If Fishing is broken but Fishing is also Important to some main system, it gets fixed, but then a bunch of stuff about Quests gets put in for basic testing, it's 'fine' if the Quest stuff is buggy, and then it continues this way.
    Y'all know how Jamberry Roll.
