It could fix so much issues and make crafting more fun
First of all - no cupper/zink issue anymore
more then 80% of all nodes are basalt and granite - if we could prospect it(for example 10 ore to 1 ore which is not granite/basalt) this move is perfect solution
Also it could be used for other professions than mining ->
prospect herbs for insects
prospect wood for resign
prospect animals for carcass
prospect fish for small trinkets/metal fragments etc
