I go bald if i put on this belt

Got the River Stalker's belt, equipped it, i go bald, when i take it off, my hair returns, but in my inventory i still have hair gone?

Should have tested this first lol, it goes and off with any of the items i have, no idea why it's swapping my states back and forth.
