Rare+ mounts differing in appearance? Also - weekly lottery for alpha testers to get cool mounts?

Part 1: Are there any plans to change the size and/or appearance of mounts/beasts of burden when you find ones that are above rare quality? I would imagine so - since all we see are horses pulling caravans along right now, despite the BoB being another creature. Feel free to discuss what type of mounts you'd like to see given the shiny pokemon treatment.
Part 2: Since Steven loves giving out mounts that give players a huge speed advantage, and it seems to be only the players who are fortunate to roleplay with him - how about evening the playing field up a bit and reducing the collective envy by having a little alpha test weekly mount lottery that we can all enter into?
