The power of community

Ever since I stumbled across a network engineering position at Intrepid Studios, I’ve been captivated by the thought of what the AOC back-end infrastructure might look like. The workings of a game studio’s network are a mystery I can’t help but ponder those c5 instances. While I’ve never had the opportunity to work on a game, my passion for networking runs deep. I proudly embrace being the “weird guy” with a beefy cluster humming away in my home. I realize most of this kind of information is likely sensitive, but hey—you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, right?

I am going to! I am doing a little more project work so I'm not just submitting my resume. I do not have gaming experience and the last time I actually coded in C++ was in college ( love python though!) I don't hit every benchmark on the requirements but i just know it would be the most meaningful work to me ive ever done. Sometimes that's important too.

Passion and drive is important, too. You lose nothing by applying.

    Couldn’t agree more.

Ashes is building the canvas, but it’s the players who’ll paint the masterpiece.

I’m honestly more excited about the people I’ll meet, the rivalries we’ll form, the friendships that’ll come from shared victories, and losses, than any feature list.

Games come and go, but it’s the community that makes a world worth staying in. And AoC feels like it’s giving us the perfect space to build something truly special together.

    Family?!
