Getting Error "Server Connection Timed Out" And game crashes to launcher

I am trying to log in my main character and every time I try I get the error message that "Server Connection Timed out" And then the game closes to the launcher - I have tried to repair - reinstall and completely restart my PC and the error persists. I can log in with my other characters it is only one that I cant and it happens to be my main. Need help.

same problem with all characters after patch of April 17th

doing the same for me and it started before servers went down last week. after the servers came back up it was still doing it and Intrepid had a fix for it may 17 which worked and i played for about an hour before DC and havent been able to get back in since... 10 min black screen after character screen then it starts to load the game and get the server timed out message.
