Question about controller use

With my understanding, there is no controller support planned for the game, which is fine. My question is whether using a third party application to map out keyboard keys for a controller would be acceptable or if that qualifies under "no third party software" in the terms of service?

Controller support is possible in the future.

So far, Intrepid has had no specific negative reactions to people discussing their use of controller software or remapping, but they do have a policy against certain types of macro-ing.

For now, basically, if you don't map one button to perform multiple actions, I, as a person who do this myself and openly discuss it, haven't come across any issues nor heard of anyone getting into any trouble for 'regular' controller use.

That doesn't mean it should be considered legitimate, I'm just telling you I've never seen anyone even warned for it, provided they follow the other rules regarding macro-ing things.
