Black Screen

When i launch the game it's all fine, game starts, character selection shows up ok, no problems there, but when i try to log on the character i want to play the screen goes dark and music still plays but nothing else going on, no loading screen no error no nothing, anyone else having the same problem? any fixes?

    Same thing since Saturday's patch.
    No response to the ticket I filed yet.

    Same here. First time i noticed it was right before the servers went down last week for downtime. Once the servers came back up i tried to log in and after clicking play at character screen i get about a 10 min black screen before the game finally starts to load up. Then it gives a server timed out message and puts me back at the launcher. The may 17 fix for this issue i thought worked because after downloading the update the game worked and i was able to play great for about an hour before it DC. so now for the last 3 days i havent been able to log back in with the same issue.

    I'm curious @mauldin and @grumpymonk18 do you guys use starlink? I do and had lots of issues after the DDOS attack in phase 1 which seemed to stem from the fix. I talked to others that had starlink that were having the exact same issues after the DDOS attack.

    CS for Intrepid works M-F west coast business hours. Most tickets during normal load take 2-3 days, up to a week. During periods of high load, that can go to multiple weeks. Good luck.

    So, I dont know if it was because of what i did or if intrepid fixed anything but I installed a 990 pro 1tb hard drive in my PC and left the OS on my 200gb hard drive along with other apps etc and put the game on the 990. Now my game will log me in. I still get a very long like almost 10 min black screen after the character screen but i'm 2/2 success rate on logging in while the I was 0/20 before.

    My 200gb hard drive had like 60gb free space but that was not the required 92gb it said i needed to free up just to get to the character screen. which was a new issue other then not being able to log in. but the ssd some how solved both problems.

    I am still experiencing this issue since Monday/Tuesday. I did not had any issue for Phase 1 and Phase 2, but not I cant just get in. Blackscreen is taking so long that after several minutes i get Time out.

    Not sure what happend, what update was added to the game but now I am just waiting for fix, since I cant test anymore.

    @Sorcres yeah mine went back to doing it again today. my new ssd didnt fix it apparently

    I upgraded my PC last week (new cpu/motherboard/ram) and the game is doing the exact same thing.

    Character screen loads fine, character creator works, but as soon as I hit play, I just get a black screen, and it eventually just times out and crashes.
