Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource.
Hi,
I only purchased Alpha 2 access on Sunday and I've had this problem since the start. I tried a few things so I'll list everything I remember trying, but effectively:
I'm able to get into the game, create a character and press Play, all of that works fine every time. However, I've only been able to actually load a character in game only twice out of about 50 attempts. Even when I was able to move my character around for a few minutes, I eventually ended up with the same error, the full error being:
"Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting..."
Sometimes it won't show that but it will just straight up go to a black screen and crash without any information, or even just sit at a black screen until killed manually.
My specs (stock clocks):
AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
Nvidia 4070 Super
32G RAM
1TB SSD NVMe (42gb free on windows partition, 250gb free on secondary where game is)
Among things I've tried are:
Repair from launcher
Lowest possible settings
1920x1080, 1280x1024 and other low reses (in-game and OS)
frame rate capping to all possible options
Nvidia game ready drivers 576.02 and 566.36
reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (v14.44.35112)
I logged my hardware performance with HWiNFO and there's nothing alarming there, no hardware errors whatsoever. According to HWiNFO even Graphics memory maxes out at around 65-80% before crashing.
I saw some similar posts but none of them mentioned this error so I figured I'd say my 2 cents.
Thank you.
