I'm, totally new, is this game really fun and worth sinking a ton of time into?

So much good and allot that needs to be worked out. If you are looking to play to give feed back and shape the game. 100% worth it. If you want to know every system and be that alpha player when the game launches. Again worth it. If yout coming to play a game. Just not worth your time. You will get frustrated quickly.

I backed the kick starter and have been here since thr start. Still happy my wife and I backed this game. But as all things MMO this is a hail Mary. Unique IP and a PvX MMO.

P.S. the combat is really fun. For me that's key. Still roughly done and needs polish but that's what Alpha is for.

1. It kinda is, already.

2. It is not yet there, where Sir Steven wants it to be.

3. It is getting even better than it is now.

4. But HEAVILY depending on a Person's Tastes, it will not be as much fun for everyone, as other Games.

5. If you like or love a HUUUGE Open World where You can be attacked by others at any time and where dying can impose an EXP-Loss on you -> and where You get put before Challenges and do not simply run everywhere and kill everything like it's later Worst of Warcraft all over again -> then Ashes might be the Game for You.

6. Still suuuuuper-unfinished however. It is still an Alpha clearly still far from the Game being finished.

Are you wanting to test or to play? If you're wanting to test, then yep it's a lot of fun.

If you're not wanting to test, then maybe try again at Beta.
