Mepps Joins Intrepid Studios’ Community Management Team!
Hello, Verrans!
My name is Mepps, and I am your brand new Senior Community Manager here on the Intrepid Studios team. I have been following Ashes of Creation from afar for quite some time, and I am beyond thrilled to get to join you on this adventure.
My fantasy and MMO roots are deep. I was raised in EverQuest, Dark Age of Camelot, The Realm, and other classic titans of the genre. I love to read and will talk to you all day about my favorite authors and series. I also love cozy games like Stardew Valley, all kinds of turn-based RPGs, and most anything that involves online play with large groups of friends.
Professionally, I have spent the last 13 years managing the communities of DC Universe Online, Star Wars Galaxies, and so many others, and I cannot wait to apply everything I have learned here at Intrepid Studios.
I would love to learn more about you, your favorites, and what most drives you to experience Ashes of Creation, so please don’t be shy. We will be seeing quite a lot of each other.

It is great seeing another person that is passionate about gaming in the community let alone as a community manager.
For myself i have been playing MMO's since Neverwinter Night's, and enjoy each and every one of other them. My fav for crafting system was SW Galaxies, followed by EQ / EQ2.
For my experience in AoC is is all about the Gathering / Professions then joining with fellow players and seeing my works shine in a quest or dungeon and then having my name be passed around for good workmanship and materials.
Here is a complementary cookie!
Good luck reigning people in here.
Tyger Blue Eyes
As a rabid FF11 fangirl you may need to occasionally zap me with the spritz bottle when I get out of hand. Don't worry, I almost always mean well. But I'm also... well... mean.
Thanks for taking on the task of helping build a community that people want to be part of!
Our Dwarven guild began as a concept in a pen and paper dnd campaign in the early 1990's but our digital birth became reality in The Realm a few years later. Always good to hear from another veteran from that long ago world.
Hammers High !!!
Those were the days!
As a fan of the incredible work this team does, it's a joy to see talents like you join the journey.
I know that creating immersive worlds and memorable experiences requires more than just technique. It requires passion, vision, and that unique touch that transforms a game into a true adventure. And with you on the team, I'm certain Intrepid has just leveled up.
You can never have enough community management, but you can certainly have too little. In my experience, your always better off having more then less. Nothing kills my interest in an MMO more then poor or non-existent community management. I'm glad that is not the case with Intrepid.
Love MCU!
@Virtek and I have been around since Kickstarter and we actually met in the discord of Ashes. I mainly have played WoW and FF14 and Ashes looked promising. We have since fallen in love with the community and enjoy sharing what the community thinks of the development process as well as any concerns or excitement they may have.
Ashes has been life changing (literally) for us and we intend to watch it develop until its completed! We intend to run a tavern in Verra whilst encompassing a welcoming environment for all.
Welcome to Verra!
from the SWG and/or EQ2 forums.
good to see you are still grinding it out.
A former DCUO player here, so I know how valuable Mepps will be for the Intrepid team and AoC as a game.
Big W Steven. Mepps, welcome aboard!
Ever read any of Conn Iggulden's books (his Khan or Caesar series) - decent writer if you like strategy and historical fiction. Or Guy Gavriel Kay's The Lions of Al-Rassan?
Anyways welcome from Mostly Harmless Guild!
Intrepid sound like a great company to work for and there's definitely a very ambitous project in the works here.
All the best!
Hello and welcome!
Will you be here with us on the forums, or will you be based elsewhere?
Do you remember which server you played on in DAoC? And which side?
What kinda genre of books do you like to read? And what are your favorites?
I haven't read Iggulden but will take a look.
Guy Kay is in my top 3 authors, actually, with A Song for Arbonne just ahead of Lions for me. Depending on the day, Arbonne is my favorite book of all time. I also love Jacqueline Carey and started life as a massive Wheel of Time/Robert Jordan devotee.
Basically fantasy/historical fantasy is what I gravitate towards most of the time.
I will be everywhere, but it does look like I'll be forum-focused for the foreseeable future once I'm up to speed.
