No loot glow when I have loot on a mob.

I just started the game with my brother who has been playing for a while and I have a issue. When we are in group or i kill something solo I have no loots glow even if I have loot on the mob. I know I have loot only when I run up to the mob and open the corpse and look. I have researched it and cant find this issue anywhere. So if there is a setting that I have overlooked or this is an issue that is known and I just didnt find it please let me know. Thank you.
