Question regarding Referral Program workflow for new Steam players

Hello Intrepid Team and Community,

With the upcoming Steam release, I am planning to recruit some new friends to Ashes of Creation.

I am currently unsure about the exact account requirements for Steam players and how this affects the Referral Program. I would appreciate some clarification on the "Order of Operations" to make sure my friends are referred correctly.

Could you please help with the following questions:

Account Requirement: Is it correct that new players on Steam will still need to manually create an Intrepid Account on your website to play? Or will Steam handle the account creation automatically?

Referral Link: If a website account is indeed required, does this mean my friends must use my Referral Link to create that account before they launch the game on Steam?

Steam-First Scenario: If a player downloads and launches the game on Steam without visiting the website first, will they still have an opportunity to enter a Referral Code during the setup?

I want to avoid a situation where my friends download the game and miss the chance to be referred because they didn't register on the website first.
